Energy Policy: Shaped by Scientific Facts or by Corporate Lies?


We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

"Free speech" is the excuse most often used for corporate excess that harms, defrauds and kills people in the course of corporate profit-taking, but the right to freedom of speech is guaranteed to humans in the First Amendment, as are all of the first ten Amendments, also known collectively as "The Bill of Rights" which, in the context of the Enlightenment and the prolific writings of the Framers of the Constitution, obviously refers to human rights.  And the Preamble to the entire document names "the general Welfare" as one of only six overarching purposes of the entire Constitution.

So the distortion of any national policy to favor corporate privileges to the detriment of "the general Welfare" of the entire populace of the United States is clearly, flagrantly in violation of the very purpose of the Constitution, the good of the humans who live in the United States.
